Brooklyn Nets New Year’s Resolutions

Billy King: Use January 15th wisely.

Billy King has assembled a very talented yet expensive roster that has underachieved so far this season. Though there is talent, the roster seems incomplete and in need of an upgrade at the PF position. Billy’s new years resolution shouldn’t be too hard. He must move some players (and their contracts) around in order to give this team what it needs; a starting power forward. This deal won’t come until after January 15th though, the date when players that signed contracts this off-season can be moved. Perhaps, for one, King can land Brooklyn a starting-caliber PF to play alongside Brook Lopez.

We already have a serviceable starting power forward. Unfortunately, he’s doing duty as our backup five right now. If we had a legitimate second-string centre, we’d be able to shift Blatche to his natural position at the four and run Reggie or Kris with the second unit.
