James Dolan’s other New York franchise was successfully dismantled once upped his involvement after the team’s Stanley Cup victory in 1994. The team managed to miss the playoffs from 1998-2005, the longest playoff drought in franchise history. This came despite the fact that the team led the NHL in payroll for most of those seasons.
