Donte Greene
The Nets were interested in the athletic youngster, nearly signing him before Greene broke his ankle working out for the team in late August. Brooklyn could use a formidable backup for Gerald Wallace; even if the Nets intend to start Wallace at the 4, grabbing an athlete like Greene would benefit the team. (Or, of course, we could permanently #FreeToko, but that would be too easy).
One thing that the bench mob seems to lack is the high-flying freak that Gerald Green filled last year. Someone that can energize the often-dull atmosphere in Barclays would bring more positive results than leaving it open. Greene almost got his shot four months ago, and we were on board then, right?
