With Thursday’s game against the Boston Celtics looming, the Brooklyn Nets announced the injury status of MarShon Brooks (probable) and Gerald Wallace (day-to-day) today. Both have been out with left ankle sprains. According to Avery Johnson, Gerald Wallace is 50-50 for tomorrow night’s game.
50-50 is about as encouraging as any Crash update has been to this point. Though Avery has said before that the opponent doesn’t factor at all into their decision-making when returning players from injury (as it shouldn’t), having Wallace available against the team that’s been the class of the Atlantic Division since 2008 would be quite helpful, particularly when matching up against Paul Pierce.
