Shaun Livingston (AP)
grade-a-minusIt’s been a year of redemption for Livingston, playing as Deron Williams’s off-guard and excelling on both ends of the floor. His short jumper, court vision, basketball IQ, and length allow him to run an effective offense and defend both guard positions.

(Fun fact: Livingston leads all qualifying point guards in blocks per 100 defensive possessions. In case that shocked you at all.)

Livingston’s far from perfect; his lack of an outside shot and tendency to disappear for long stretches are forgiven mostly because we’re all just happy he can walk again. If he keeps playing at this level, he’ll soon have the burden of expectation, and those quiet nights won’t be forgotten.

But Livingston earned and kept a starting role with his playmaking abilities, and if he keeps this up, he’s not relinquishing it any time soon.
