Brook Lopez is known primarily as a scorer; his ability to pile up points in both boring and innovative ways is inarguably his strongest trait as a basketball player. Against twin brother Robin Lopez, Brook didn’t have any trouble doing what he does best, but also contributed across the board. Lopez passed out of double-teams and in the middle of post moves in ways we’ve rarely seen from the big man, and was a constant shot-altering force in the paint (something YES color commentator Mike Fratello noted numerous times).
When the night was done, the Brooklyn Nets escaped with a victory, and Brook Lopez had produced one of his most well-rounded statlines: 20 points on 9-14 (64%) shooting, 7 rebounds, 5 assists, 4 blocks, and a steal in 31 minutes of play.
Watch some of Lopez’s finer moments below.
