Well, this is new. Via ESPN’S Marc Stein:
Going online now: ESPN sources say Wolves making late push before trade deadline to bring home Wolves legend Kevin Garnett in trade w/Nets

There’s not much to say about this. The Timberwolves are in an awful position in the Western Conference at the moment, with a conference-worst 11-42 record, and any Kevin Garnett return would be a superfluous welcome home that holds little more than an emotional “goodbye.” But the Timberwolves may not want anything beyond that for their struggling roster.
If this comes to fruition, it’s a boon for Brooklyn. The only way a Garnett deal works, while still working within the confines of logic, is if the Nets ship Garnett West for forward Thaddeus Young, as Stein later indicated:
ESPN sources say Wolves and Nets have discussed deal to send Thad Young to Brooklyn in exchange for KG … who of course has no-trade clause
