The Brooklyn Nets will sign Southern Methodist University center Yanick Moreira to a training camp deal, per Shams Charania of Yahoo! Sports:

Moreira is known best for a blunder: during the NCAA tournament this year, Moreira, a 6’11” center was called for goaltending on a three-point shot attempt that put SMU down one. They would eventually lose. Moreira blamed himself for the goaltend, which was not a cut-and-dry call.
The Nets originally worked out Moreira, as part of their pre-draft workouts in June. After putting up averages of 11.1 points and 6.4 rebounds in 24.4 minutes per game as a senior, he went undrafted and played with the Los Angeles Clippers in Summer League.
Moreira is of Angolan descent, and played in FIBA Afrobasket for the Angolan national team in 2014, averaging over 17 points and eight rebounds per game over five games.
