The Nets have agreed to a 10-day contract with free agent forward Thomas Robinson once he clears waivers, a league source told The Brooklyn Game. The agreement was first reported by Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports.

Robinson will fill the 15th and final spot on the Nets roster. He was traded in a deadline deal from the Portland Trail Blazers to the Denver Nuggets on February 19th, and subsequently bought out by the Nuggets. He has to clear waivers by Wednesday afternoon, which is expected given his $3.7 million contract.

The 23-year-old Robinson, a 6’9″ forward out of Kansas University, was drafted fifth overall in the 2012 NBA draft after a consensus All-American junior season. But he has struggled to fit on an NBA roster, and the Nets will be his fourth team in three seasons. In 32 games with the Trail Blazers, Robinson averaged 3.6 points and 4.2 rebounds in 12.2 minutes per game.

Robinson told Alex Kennedy of Basketball Insiders via text that he was “more than excited” to be a member of the Nets:

Robinson himself tweeted in joy about the deal:
