MarShon Brooks To Continue Pro-Am Tournaments

MarShon Brooks spontaneously cancelled on two of his events recently: a practice at Rucker Park with Sundiata Gaines, and a Pro-Am tournament at Baruch. However, Brooks is going to continue playing in the Nike tournaments, announcing that he will start playing next Tuesday, when the playoffs of the tournament begin. In his first and only Pro-Am game July 19th, Brooks dropped 48 points on 17-32 shooting.

Yes, the Pro-Am tournaments are nowhere close to NBA-level competition. I still think they’re a good way for Brooks to keep in shape, as well as a great way for the fans to get a look at the Nets’ first round pick during the lockout.
