With the Nets clinging to a 91-89 lead over the winless and tanking Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday night, Garnett drained a 19-foot jumper with 32.8 seconds remaining that enabled Brooklyn to avoid infamy and leave Wells Fargo Center with a 99-91 victory.
“I wanna shout the girls out on the baseline for talking that s—,” Garnett said. “Thank you.
“I’m not gonna get into [what they said] — sorry Rod Thorn [for cursing] — but this was good,” Garnett continued. “I’m glad they did that. They put a little kick in my juice, and I needed that.”
To you, Kevin Garnett, the 76ers and all their fans: Happy Thanksgiving!
