Not just KG+Truth: Full 5 gets the night off vs. Celtics

The Brooklyn Nets have a lot of guys sitting against the Boston Celtics tonight. Via Tim Bontemps of the New York Post:

That’s only a change for Brook Lopez and Joe Johnson, who are reportedly healthy. Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce planned on skipping this game already, with Pierce preferring to make his Boston return in-season and Garnett following coach Jason Kidd’s rest plan. Deron Williams also planned to sit as he continues to rest his injured right ankle.

Tyshawn Taylor (ankle) and Andrei Kirilenko (back) are also ruled out for tonight. Kirilenko did not travel with the team and will also sit out Friday’s game against the Miami Heat, the team’s final preseason game.

Shaun Livingston, Alan Anderson, and Andray Blatche have already started preseason games, so expect them to start in place of Williams, Johnson, and Lopez. It’s also possible that Jason Terry will make his debut in the starting lineup tonight.
