Ettore Messina
Ever since Russian billionaire Mikhail Prokhorov took over as then-New Jersey, now-Brooklyn Nets owner, there have been rumblings about his connection with Italian coach Ettore Messina. Messina, a former assistant for the Los Angeles Lakers, is currently the head coach of CSKA Moscow. Messina is a four-time Euroleague Champion, two-time Euroleague coach of the year, and was named one of the 50 Greatest Contributors in Euroleague History in 2008. Don’t count him out as a darkhorse candidate.
