Nets Around the Nets Monday: Late Edition By Justin DeFeo comments Posted on June 18, 2012 Sign up for our amNY Sports email newsletter to get insights and game coverage for your favorite teams Today I made the not so bold prediction that Jason Kidd will be backing up Deron Williams somewhere. I purposefully left that statement cryptic, figuring Kidd would wait for Williams to make a decision and then follow him wherever he goes. Moments later, Stefan Bondy gave that prediction some context via this tweet. And then this one. Nets fans getting antsy with the lack of activity so far? Don’t worry. New York Post’s Tim Bontemps says this is just the “calm before the storm.” Jay-Z’s 40/40 Club opening on the inside of the Barclays Center will be open until 2 a.m., much to the dismay of local Brooklynites. For Nets fans long been driven to the bottle by on-court play, this is welcomed news. BREAKING: Kris Humphries “Booty Call Girl” has apparently hooked up with other “high profile celebrities.” No word on if Humphries is yet considered high profile, or even a celebrity. The Nets are a possible landing destination for lots of top free agents and one has to think the move to Brooklyn is a big reason why. Will the Nets be successful in landing any of these said free agents remains to be seen.
