7 Ways The Nets Can Improve Their In-Arena Fan Experience: Thoughts from a Season Ticket Holder

Why Not Have Some Better Local, In-Arena Halftime Entertainment?

Look, I get it. Halftime entertainment isn’t a priority when you’re trying to convince everyone to head out into the concourse and buy nachos and a giant Brooklyn Lager. But there were too many times last year where the Nets would simply have a DJ deliver little beyond what me, or anyone, could with a smartphone and a Spotify playlist called “100% Generic Hits 2013.”

The Nets have amazing access to artists and entertainment in New York City. Why are we stuck listening to an anonymous DJ spin Biggie for the millionth time when there’s so much potential for entertainment? For instance, it was ace when Unlocking The Truth (the 8th grade metal band who recently signed with Sony) played last November. Two-to-three song sets from artists during halftime from local artists should be a staple, right?
