Jarrett Jack underwent ACL reconstruction surgery Wednesday morning in Manhattan and is expected to make a full recovery, the team announced.

The surgery took place at the Hospital for Special Surgery in Manhattan, and was performed by Nets’ Medical Director, Dr. Riley J. Williams, with assistance from sports medicine surgeon Dr. David Altchek.

Jack tore his ACL during the third quarter of a game against the Boston Celtics on January 4th, calling the moment the most painful of his life.

Jack is expected to be ready for “basketball activities” by the 2016-17 season. But it’s not clear where he’ll be: Jack has a $500,000 team buyout clause written into his contract this offseason, which if exercised, would make him a free agent. The team is expected to exercise the option.
