The Brooklyn Nets are trying to acquire a first-round pick, according to league sources.

This is hardly “news” — the Nets have been openly trying to acquire a first-rounder for some time now — but a report from Kennedy, a generally well-connected guy, only throws added fuel on that fire. Currently, the Nets have one second-rounder, the 57th overall pick, and there’s likely little chance they get a potential impact player in this draft without moving up.
Hope you’re having a lovely Father’s Day.
