During last night’s Brooklyn Nets blowout of the Detroit Pistons, as Deron Williams completed yet another superstar-esque performance since the All-Star break, WFAN radio host and Nets fan/season ticket holder Evan Roberts asked on Twitter: “Who is the dude wearing the number 8 Net jersey?”
It’s been that kind of tenure with the Nets for Williams, who’s struggled to find his shooting touch and explosiveness in the two years since moving to New Jersey/Brooklyn/living in Manhattan from Utah. But after his third cortisone shots, platelet-rich plasma therapy treatment, and a three-day detoxifying juice cleanse over the All-Star break, Williams has looked like a new/old player — attacking the rim with abandon, hitting open shots, and featuring his lethal crossover a few times per game.
Monday night, Williams finished with 31 points on 10-18 shooting from the field. Here’s a few of his best moments.
