It should be noted that the chant came as the Raptors built a 26-point lead, their largest of the night. Following the chant, the Nets went on an extended 54-30 run, erasing the lead entirely at one point and nearly winning the game. So maybe that didn’t work out as expected.
Raptors fans have brought the heat all series. They drew on the Brooklyn Bridge. They handed out special edition lint rollers to their fans. They’re louder. (I’ve been in both arenas for this playoff series now. They’re louder.) They’re more unified, most notably by their “We The North” T-shirts. What will Brooklyn do to respond?
