Update: Alex Raskin reports that Donte Greene’s contract isn’t guaranteed, just an invite to training camp, per source.
Ex-Kings forward Dante Greene has agreed in principle to sign a contract with the Brooklyn Nets, a source tells Yahoo! Sports.

Donte Greene was drafted by the Kings in 2008 and has spent the last four seasons there, averaging 6.1 points and 2.4 rebounds in 16.8 minutes a game. Almost a third of his shots are three-pointers, but he’s only made them at a .304 clip, including a career-low .238 last season. Greene is listed at 6’11 and 226 pounds (per Basketball-Reference), but has never rebounded above the league average percentage of 10%.
Though not reported, the deal is for the league minimum, as the Nets can’t afford anything else.
What the Nets are getting, though, is a player unlike any in the NBA: a player with psychic abilities. Watch him accidentally tip his psychic hand at :13, as he celebrates Tyreke Evans’ buzzer-beating, no-way-it-goes-in half-court shot well before it swishes:
Any team could use a medium, and to get one at the veteran’s minimum is a bargain. Good on you, Billy King. Welcome Greene to the Brooklyn Nets at his twitter account, @dontegreeneCOS:
HELLO BROOKLYN!!!!
