From an interview with Jason Jordan’s USA Today, rapper French Montana shares his hoops prowess with an anecdote about Nets guard Jarrett Jack:
JJ: What kind of game did you have on the court?
FM: I was more flashy with the handles; I’d try to show off on the fast breaks with the dunks, you know, that kind of game.
JJ: Were you out there catching bodies with the posters?
FM: (Laughs) Nah, I wouldn’t say I was catching bodies, but I was definitely catching dunks on the breaks and things like that.
JJ: Can you still dunk now?
FM: (Laughs) I doubt that! Maybe… I’d have to play for like a week straight to get right.
JJ: Give me your shining moment on the court?
FM: I played an AAU game against Jarret(sic) Jack and about four other guys who ended up in the league and I dropped like 30 points on ‘em.
He’s still got a while to go before he catches up to Prince’s legend, but if he actually put that down, that’s a pretty good start.
