After a thrilling 88-87 victory over the Miami Heat Tuesday night, the Nets will be short two starters on the second half of their second-to-last back-to-back of the season.
Nets forward Paul Pierce (right hip pointer) and guard Shaun Livingston (sprained right big toe) are both listed as officially out for Brooklyn.
Both Pierce and Livingston played more than their season average against the Heat — Pierce played 32 minutes, Livingston 28 in the win — so it’s possible that the Nets just want to get their players rest heading into the playoffs. But they also had no issue listing Kevin Garnett for a rest night Tuesday night, so there’s no real need to make up an injury.
The Nets have also ruled Andray Blatche out for the second straight game (illness).
Alan Anderson and Mirza Teletovic will start for Livingston and Pierce, respectively.
