Brooklyn Nets forward Paul Pierce will join the starting lineup for the first time since returning from a broken right hand. Pierce joins Deron Williams, Alan Anderson, Mirza Teletovic, and Brook Lopez in the lineup.
Lineups are subject to change, as the Nets are waiting on Joe Johnson’s potential arrival. He is a game-time decision.
Pierce has come off the bench for five straight games for the Nets, scoring more points in each game. He scored a season-high 27 points on 10-12 shooting in the Nets’ most recent game, a 113-107 loss to the Washington Wizards Wednesday night.
Regular power forward Kevin Garnett is getting the day off for rest, necessitating Teletovic’s inclusion in the starting lineup. Teletovic also started against the 76ers on Monday, scoring 11 points on 4-8 shooting and adding five rebounds in 26 minutes.
