Nets.com, which in the past has directed to the official websites of the New York Knicks and Dallas Mavericks, is now sending people… to the official website of the Boston Celtics!
The Celtics and Nets completed a trade in July that sent future Hall of Fame forwards Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce, along with guard Jason Terry, to the Brooklyn Nets for Gerald Wallace, Kris Humphries, MarShon Brooks, Keith Bogans, Kris Joseph, and three first-round draft picks.
The site’s official owner is listed as Cyber Mesa Computer Systems in New Mexico, but a company spokesman told The Brooklyn Game that the company sold the domain in November.
Prokhorov may be willing to spend $5 million on his last bench player thanks to the luxury tax, but the internet doesn’t seem to matter as much; the site’s owner has tried to get the Nets to buy the domain, but at a price the Nets are unwilling to spend.
This has been your Nets.com update.
