It’s just preseason, so wins and losses don’t matter as much as trends and notes. But at least three Boston Celtics guards won’t make the trip to Brooklyn for Wednesday’s preseason game against the Nets: Avery Bradley, rookie Terry Rozier, and Marcus Smart are all expected to sit out, per A. Sherrod Blakely of Comcast SportsNet.
#celtics HC Brad Stevens said Avery Bradley (rest) likely to join Terry Rozier (knee) and Marcus Smart (illness) in not playing vs #Nets.

With three rotation guards out, Stevens & the Celtics will only bring four healthy guards: Isaiah Thomas, rookie R.J. Hunter, Evan Turner, and James Young. That could be an opportunity for Nets guards to shine.
The best part of it all: the game will be broadcast on YES Network.
