With the league’s 5 P.M. roster deadline approaching, Brooklyn Nets general manager Billy King confirmed that the team will keep its remaining 15 players from the preseason roster, inking non-guaranteed players Jorge Gutierrez, Cory Jefferson, and Jerome Jordan to contracts.

There was some uncertainty about whether or not Gutierrez would make the team, as he competed with Marquis Teague for the team’s third-string point guard spot. But the Nets elected to move Teague to the Philadelphia 76ers to open the spot for Gutierrez, who King said “earned” his spot on the team.

“The one thing with Jorge, he’s never wavered in his belief that he can play in this league,” King said Monday. “When we cut him last year as the last cut [in training camp], I told him we’ll keep an eye on you, and we brought him back. He just kept working, believing, this summer he went to summer league and we drafted other guys and he just kept coming back and is very persistent, and that’s the type of player we want to have here.”

The full Nets roster, in alphabetical order: Alan Anderson, Bojan Bogdanovic, Markel Brown, Kevin Garnett, Jorge Gutierrez, Jarrett Jack, Cory Jefferson, Joe Johnson, Jerome Jordan, Sergey Karasev, Andrei Kirilenko, Brook Lopez, Mason Plumlee, Mirza Teletovic, Deron Williams.
