Brooklyn Nets rookie Markel Brown took over the Nets official Twitter account to answer some fan questions this weekend. As Brown is most known for his dunks, most questions were about his high-flying prowess.
The question on most minds: could Brown join in on the All-Star Weekend Sprite Slam Dunk contest, scheduled to take place at Barclays Center this year?
If I'm invited I do -MB RT @Nets_snba: #AskMarkel Do you see yourself winning the Sprite Slam Dunk next year at @barclayscenter?

The man with a 43.5” vertical definitely does not lack confidence, and has stated his intent to participate. A hometown candidate competing in a contest like this one surely isn’t uncommon for the NBA to pursue, so seeing Brown receive an invite wouldn’t be too surprising.
Not only will Markel seek to take his talents to the center stage of the Dunk Contest, but he plans to challenge his own teammates, including proven flyer Mason Plumlee.
That'll definitely happen. -MB @dbearak: @BrooklynNets @iMarkelBrown22 will you challenge Mason and Cory to a team dunk contest? #AskMarkel

I even weighed in on the topic:
Mason's Maserati -MB RT @bknfc: @BrooklynNets @iMarkelBrown22 If you had to dunk over a car, which car would it be? #AskMarkel

Beats dunking over a Kia, Blake Griffin.
Brown broke a bone in his hand working out Monday, but should be back for the start of the season. Nets fans are going to have a great time watching this man play, I can guarantee it.
