Nets Appear In Annual NBA.com GM Survey

Today NBA.com released the results from their 10th Annual GM Survey and to no ones surprise the Nets players, coaches or off-season moves did not factor heavily in the results.

But, they did appear in some places. Among them:

Receiving the highest percentage of any Net personnel was MarShon Brooks who received 8% of the vote and was tied for third (behind Norris Cole and Iman Shumpert) in the question – Which rookie is most likely to be a “sleeper” success?

Deron Williams received votes in two different categories. The first being – Which player is the best passer? This question was dominated by Chris Paul who receieved nearly half of the votes at 40.7%. Steve Nash took a large share as well, grabbing 37% and rookie sensation Ricky Rubio took 11.1% to finish third. Jose Calderon and Jason Kidd also received votes. Deron also received votes in the question – Which player has the best basketball I.Q.?

Billy King apparently raised some eyebrows from his peers this off-season when he signed Mehmet Okur, as that acquistion received votes in the question – What was the most surprising move of the off-season?

And finally, the only other Net personnel to show up in the survey was P.J. Carlesimo who received votes in the question – Who is the best assistant coach in the NBA?

Here is the entire 2011-2012 NBA.com GM Survey for your reading pleasure.
