Well, just when you thought things were looking up:
On Thursday, the Brooklyn Nets announced that point guard Jeremy Lin would be out for two weeks after straining his hamstring against the Detroit Pistons.

Lin, who was the Nets’ big free agent signing this summer, will leave a huge hole on the roster. With Greivis Vasquez and Randy Foye both currently injured as well, the Nets suddenly have a crisis on their hands. When will the backups return? Should they call up Yogi Ferrell already? Can Isaiah Whitehead handle the expanded role?
Sean Kilpatrick, thus far, has filled in admirably at point guard, but, truthfully, this is probably not how new head coach Kenny Atkinson saw the season unfolding in November.
