The deal is higher than Teletovic would have gotten with the Nets’ qualifying offer.
Teletovic didn’t fit into the Nets’ plans this offseason, and the Suns needed to fill a hole left after trading Marcus Morris to the Detroit Pistons in the hopes of luring LaMarcus Aldridge.
Nets general manager Billy King said Thursday that they were in discussions to retain Teletovic, but the talks did not pan out. He missed three months of game time after blood clots were discovered in his lungs, and he was cleared to play during the first round of the NBA playoffs.
