We’ve officially reached the “throwing anything at the wall to see what sticks” part of the season, if that wasn’t clear already.

Little-used backup Markel Brown, who has not played in six of the last nine games, will make the start tonight against the Detroit Pistons over struggling shooter Bojan Bogdanovic, the team announced. Bogdanovic has shot just 33.8% from the field and 17.9% from three-point range over his last six games, including an 0-for-6 (0-for-3 from 3) performance Friday night.

Brown made three starts between October 31st and November 4th before racking up 14 straight games of zero to 10 minutes played. He’s mostly stuck at the back of Lionel Hollins’s rotation since, but did play 20 minutes Friday night in the team’s 83-77 loss to the Orlando Magic.

Brown has averaged 2.8 points in 10.5 minutes per game in 20 games this season, shooting an even 30 percent.
