Forward Kris Joseph, signed by the Brooklyn Nets from their D-League Affiliate Springfield Armor on April 2nd, has been signed for the remainder of the season, the Brooklyn Nets announced today. In three games, Joseph has played a total of ten minutes, recording only two missed shots and two missed free throws in that time.
Joseph has gotten limited time playing at the NBA level, playing only garbage-time minutes, but has pushed ahead of Nets rookie Tornike Shengelia on the Nets’ depth chart. Joseph is usually listed as “active” in favor of Shengelia. Joseph will be with the team for the final four games of the season and on the roster for the playoffs.
The Syracuse University product started 15 games for the Springfield Armor, averaging 19.0 points, 4.0 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.7 steals in 34.1 minutes per game. In 27 combined games for Springfield and Maine this season, Joseph averaged 18.6 points, 4.6 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.7 steals in 34.0 minutes per game.
