According to various reporters from shootaround this morning, Brooklyn Nets interim coach P.J. Carlesimo says that there is currently no timetable for Nets forward Kris Humphries to return to the Nets rotation. Just a few days ago, Carlesimo said that Humphries would return to the rotation “sooner rather than later,” but it appears sooner isn’t tonight.
Kris Humphries hasn’t played since March 2nd, logging just two minutes in a 96-85 loss to the Chicago Bulls. In 52 games (20 starts), Humphries has averaged 5.5 points and 5.9 rebounds in 18.4 minutes per game, shooting just 43.5% from the field, though the Nets have outscored opponents by 5.1 points per 100 possessions when he plays with “The Big 3.”
Humphries has been publicly quiet about his benching.
