Kidd: Expect the same rotation tonight

Before tonight’s 7:30 preseason matchup against the Detroit Pistons, Brooklyn Nets coach Jason Kidd said to expect roughly the same rotation from the Nets as Tuesday night’s matchup against the Washington Wizards.

The Nets will start Shaun Livingston, Joe Johnson, Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett, and Brook Lopez, with the latter four likely playing about 12 minutes. Third-string point guard Tyshawn Taylor led the team with 34 minutes, including the entire fourth quarter and overtime. All other eligible players played between 17 and 24 minutes.

The Nets will add Gary Forbes to their rotation tonight, who had sat with illness since the third day of training camp. Deron Williams, Jason Terry, and Tornike Shengelia are all out, as well as training camp invitee Jorge Gutierrez, who is a new addition to the injury list with a sprained ankle.
