Nets center Kevin Garnett has been ruled out for the next three games — at least.
“We’re going to re-evaluate KG on Saturday, so he’ll be out through the whole week and we’ll take a look at him on Saturday,” Nets coach Jason Kidd said prior to Monday night’s game against the Phoenix Suns.
Garnett missed eight straight games since February 27th heading into Monday night with issues arising from back spasms. He’ll miss at least three games with the latest announcement — Monday night against the Phoenix Suns, Wednesday night against the Charlotte Bobcats, and Friday night against his former team, the Boston Celtics.
His first chance at returning is against the Dallas Mavericks, which comes on the first end of a back-to-back set. Kidd has often held Garnett out of one end of back-to-back games.
“We felt that we can hold him out until Saturday and re-evaluate to see if he’d be ready for Dallas,” Kidd added. “But there’s no setbacks.”
