Basketball Insiders reporter Alex Kennedy tweeted today that Nets forward Thomas Robinson will opt out of his contract.

Robinson signed his deal with the Nets back in July of last year. He appeared in 71 games, starting seven of them. During that time, he averaged 4.3 points and 5.1 rebounds in 12.9 minutes.

Honestly, it wouldn’t surprise me if Robinson makes more money than anyone here thinks he will. He was a high lottery pick and for whatever reason, he has not found a fit with a team. It’ll be interesting to see how this plays out.
