Jeremy Lin and Deron Williams Are Both Out, So Let’s Remember The Time D-Will Dropped 38 Points On Him

The Houston Rockets announced today that point guard Jeremy Lin will sit the next two weeks with a grade 1 knee sprain, officially ruling him out for tonight’s game against the Brooklyn Nets. Similarly, Nets point guard Deron Williams will sit as he skips Brooklyn’s two-game road trip this weekend.

So let’s remember a fun time these two played each other: Our #2 most YouTubable Moment of the 2011-12 season, when deep in the thick of Linsanity, when Deron Williams tore Lin to shreds en route to 38 points and eight three-pointers, including this span of about 90 seconds that turned the game into a blowout.

(I am, of course, ignoring that Linsanity started against Williams and the Nets, because that’s blocked from my memory.)
