The National Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association has named YES Network play-by-play announcer and voice of the Brooklyn Nets Ian Eagle as the New York Sportscaster of the Year for the second straight year, co-winning the award with Bruce Beck of WNBC-TV.

Eagle, who has been the voice of the Nets since 1995, also won a New York Sports Emmy in April 2013. So, to honor Eagle, a wizard with timing and inflection, let’s let him speak for himself.
