Avery Johnson announced during his post-game press conference that an MRI on Gerald Wallace’s injured left ankle came back negative. Wallace has an ankle sprain and is listed as day-to-day.
Wallace, who put up 10 points, six rebounds and four assists in 30 minutes, injured his ankle near the end of the game chasing down Kyle Lowry and blocking a fast-break layup.
The Nets are already without their backup small forward Josh Childress, and an injury to Wallace would leave them without a “natural” healthy small forward.
