GAME GRADES: JOE COOL AGAIN NETS 95, THUNDER 93

Mason Plumlee

Mason Plumlee CENTER

Brought his usual energy, but he really shot a 1-3 because of his involvement in botched alley-oops.

Paul Pierce POWER FORWARD

The stats look really bad, and he was really bad for 3.5 quarters. He couldn’t shoot and was the mayor of Turnover City. But then halfway through the 4th quarter happened and he and D-Will brought the Nets back. As well, Pierce looked like he cared and tried really hard. This was what we wanted.

Shaun Livingston POINT GUARD

Oh boy. It was a Shaun Livingston hate-fest on Twitter and it was all warranted. He was awful. His shot attempts are automatic Thunder points.

Andrei Kirilenko SMALL FORWARD

For his limited minutes, he showed why he’s missed. Played great D, displayed his athleticism and shot very well.

Kevin Garnett POWER FORWARD

I wrote all this before his last shot with 13 seconds left: “Almost as if he admitted his shooting woes continue, KG took two shots and played pretty good defense. I didn’t get sad watching him (except for that Ibaka block) so that’s something.”

And then that play happened.

Alan Anderson SHOOTING GUARD

Had a few big shots, but his defense left much to be desired.

Deron Williams POINT GUARD

He was really frustrating at times, and that has to be taken into consideration. But, in quarters one, three and four, he played the best basketball of his season. He put up his season high in points, steals and three-pointers and hit a crazy clutch three with 2:39 left.

Joe Johnson SHOOTING GUARD

I DELETED EVERYTHING I WROTE THAT WAS NEGATIVE AND MEAN AND QUESTIONABLE ABOUT JOE JOHNSON BECAUSE HE HIT THE GAME-WINNER TO BEAT THE THUNDER AT HOME JOE COOL YOU ARE MORE COLD-BLOODED THAN KOBE AND MORE CLUTCH THAN LEBRON

Reggie Evans POWER FORWARD

Had a huge foul on Durant to give KD five fouls, but then air balled the free throw he earned. So, an A play and an F play gives you a…

Mirza Teletovic POWER FORWARD

I don’t remember him playing.
