Deron Williams, Brook Lopez, Kevin Garnett, Markel Brown to skip final Nets preseason game

Deron Williams, Brook Lopez, Kevin Garnett, and Markel Brown will all miss the Brooklyn Nets preseason finale Wednesday night against the Boston Celtics, the team announced today. Williams will stay home just to rest, while Brown & Garnett fight a stomach virus and Lopez a midfoot sprain.

Williams had played in all five preseason games up to this point. Lopez suffered the injury to his foot during the team’s preseason game in Beijing, while Garnett & Brown haven’t played since the team returned from China.

Lopez’s status for opening night against the Celtics on October 29th is unclear. The other three are expected to play.
