Daily Link: Nets Interested in Faried?

Net Income of Nets Daily explores a draft sleeper that the Nets could go for this season: Morehead State power forward Kenneth Faried. Faried is 19th on Chad Ford’s Big Board, NBADraft.net predicts Faried being selected with the 21st pick, and DraftExpress has Faried going 23rd, but has him 26th on the list of top 100 prospects. Faried averaged 17.4 points per game and 14.1 rebounds per game this past season, and the Nets have the 27th and 35th picks in the draft.

I think it would be great for the Nets to acquire Faried. He’s a good Avery Johnson type of guy: he plays good defense, he’s aggressive, and can rebound very well. While most seniors are either 22 or 23, Faried is only 21 yet still has the four years of college experience. He is only 6’8″, so you could say he’s a tweener. Still, the Nets need help everywhere, and Faried could help shore up some of the rebounding woes off the bench.
