The Brooklyn Nets announced that Gerald Wallace, who’s missed the past six games with a sprained left ankle, will return to the starting lineup for tonight’s game against the Sacramento Kings.
Wallace injured the ankle in standard Crash Gerald Wallace fashion, on a big chasedown block on Kyle Lowry against the Toronto Raptors, in a game that the Nets were just putting out of reach. The Kings don’t really have a true small forward — they have Travis Outlaw, who any New Jersey Nets fan will tell you is not a true small forward, or professional basketball player — so this is a good game for Wallace to come back and test his ankle and abilities. I imagine he won’t be at full strength and won’t play a full game, but we haven’t heard anything certain about his minutes limit (if any) from Avery Johnson or the Nets.
CRASH BACK!
