Nets rookie Bojan Bogdanovic and reserve-turned-starter Jarrett Jack are both listed as out for Monday night’s game against the Denver Nuggets, the team announced.
Jarrett Jack did not play Friday night against the Los Angeles Lakers in the team’s first game back since the All-Star Break after injuring his hamstring on February 10th, and did not practice with the team Sunday. The hamstring also kept Jack out of the NBA Skills Challenge during All-Star Weekend. Bogdanovic sprained his ankle in the team’s practice on Sunday, after starting and scoring 18 points against the Lakers in his first start since January 24th.
Deron Williams, who recorded a season-high 15 assists Friday, will start in Jack’s place. It’s unclear how Lionel Hollins will replace Bogdanovic: after all, the team started four wing players Friday night, with Joe Johnson at “power forward.” He could elect to replace Bogdanovic with a big, like Thaddeus Young or Brook Lopez. Lopez scored 22 points & grabbed 14 rebounds in an encouraging effort Friday.
