On top of last year’s injuries, this year’s Nets stars have been hit by the injury bug. Deron Williams has dealt with injuries to his wrist, knee and elbow. Gerald Wallace went down with an ankle injury with under a minute left in game one, taking him out of seven games. Brook Lopez succumbed to a mild right foot sprain for six games in early December, an injury that Nets owner Mikhail Prokhorov admitted was “a catalyst” for the team’s recent slide.
