This tweet indicates that Blatche was the anonymous player questioned this morning by Philadelphia’s Special Victims Unit in connection with a sexual assault case. Later reports indicated that Blatche was not directly involved in the alleged assault, but was in the suite when the incident occurred.
Philadelphia sports blog Crossing Broad was the first to report that Andray Blatche was the player involved in the questioning.
According to Stefan Bondy of the New York Daily News, Blatche’s contract — non-guaranteed until January 10th — was officially guaranteed for the season by the 5 P.M. deadline, before this incident.
