Alan Anderson has successful surgery

Brooklyn Nets free agent guard Alan Anderson underwent successful surgery on his left ankle to remove bone spurs, the team announced today. Anderson is expected to resume basketball-related activities in July.

Anderson averaged 7.4 points and 2.8 rebounds in 23.6 minutes per game this season, starting in 19 of 74 appearances. He shot lights-out in the playoffs, hitting 10 of 16 three-pointers over six playoff games.

Anderson has a player option for next season, but has said he will opt out and become a free agent, saying “I’m free.
