Brooklyn Nets free agent guard Alan Anderson underwent successful surgery on his left ankle to remove bone spurs, the team announced today. Anderson is expected to resume basketball-related activities in July.
Anderson averaged 7.4 points and 2.8 rebounds in 23.6 minutes per game this season, starting in 19 of 74 appearances. He shot lights-out in the playoffs, hitting 10 of 16 three-pointers over six playoff games.
Anderson has a player option for next season, but has said he will opt out and become a free agent, saying “I’m free.“
