NBA commissioner Adam Silver was on hand for Wednesday night’s Grizzlies-Nets game, and when YES Network’s cameras captured him, he looked, well, unenthused about the experience:
On a serious note, Silver was in town to say hello to the Nets, chatting it up with Nets center Jason Collins and coach Jason Kidd before the game. It was an unfortunate moment to capture, rather than an indication of Silver’s true feelings.
But this is just the type of scrutiny NBA commissioners have to deal with. As deputy commissioner, Silver could yawn all he wanted. But now he’s got to deal with biting interviews from Malcolm Gladwell and unsuspecting camera shots of his fatigue. Sorry, Adam. That’s just the life you chose.
