Last preseason, the Nets took a big trip to China. This year? They’re headed to Albany.

The Philadelphia 76ers will host the Nets at Times Union Center in Albany, N.Y. on October 10, according to a report from Philly.com. An official with the team confirmed the trip to The Brooklyn Game.

The Nets & 76ers have done this dance before. The first Nets preseason game in their Brooklyn history was against the 76ers, and held in Atlantic City’s Boardwalk Hall. According to the report, this is Philadelphia’s fourth preseason foray into Albany, and their first since 1997, during Allen Iverson’s second season.

The rest of the Nets preseason schedule is unclear, though it seems unlikely they’ll do any more overseas trips. The team’s trip to China was announced the preceding April, and an extravagant preseason trip runs against the current philosophy of cutting cost. At this time, there are no official announcements.
