Last night’s Brooklyn Nets-Los Angeles Lakers telecast didn’t end well for Brooklyn, but people certainly tuned in to find out. The Lakers-Nets telecast on YES Network last night was the most-viewed and highest-rated regular season Nets telecast ever on the YES Network, averaging 299,000 total viewers and a 3.08 TV Household rating in the New York DMA. Last night’s game beat the previous high, December 1st’s game against the Miami Heat (242,000 total viewers, 2.15 rating).
Through its first 43 Nielsen-rated games this season, YES is averaging a 1.05 TV Household rating for its Nets game telecasts, up 175% from the 0.41 rating it registered through its first 43 game telecasts in last year’s lockout-shortened season.
